Final Move

The Los Angeles police are in a state of confusion as they face a series of murders involving individuals previously acquitted of violent offenses. At each crime scene, DNA and obscure hints related to chess suggest a suspect who is already deceased, having been recently executed for similar crimes. Dan Marlowe, a former cop now in an asylum due to the traumatic impact of the earlier investigation, is asked to step in. While his wife urges him to refuse, her brother, who was Dan’s former partner, pressures him to assist. Adding to the complexity, Dan’s former lover, now an FBI agent, is also involved in the case, and in the background lurks Myron, Dan’s chess-playing companion from the asylum. Tension escalates when Dan and his family become targets. The question arises: did the police make a grave mistake with the first suspect? Final Move (2006) offers a thrilling experience.
