Floating

“Floating” tells the poignant tale of a young man’s difficult journey into adulthood amidst a tumultuous backdrop of emotional and financial ruin. Norman Reedus shines as Van, who is burdened with the care of his bitter father, leaving him to navigate his own suffering without guidance. His father, preoccupied with his own issues, neglects to offer Van the emotional support he desperately needs. Chad Lowe’s character, Doug, becomes Van’s friend and more significantly provides him with insights that a “perfect life” is often an illusion. After a series of criminal activities with Doug culminate in tragedy, Van and his father finally unite in their grief, fostering a renewed bond. Watch Floating (1999).
