13 Demons

Gary and his buddies, who are avid fans of gaming and renaissance fairs as well as various questionable pursuits, come across an unusual medieval board game known as “13 Demons.” They soon learn that the game has a sinister past, having been banned in numerous countries long ago due to mysterious and unexplained fatalities linked to its play. Their mission is to liberate the Realm of Darkhaven from the clutches of the 13 Demons of the Apocalypse. Skeptical, they assume it’s merely an urban legend and decide to indulge, unaware that these demons currently roam the Earth in human form. Gradually, the game entices them, convincing them they are “The Golden Paladins,” destined to undertake a divine quest to save humanity. The illusion breaks when news surfaces about local deaths involving tree branches and medieval armor-clad attackers, blurring the boundaries between reality and make-believe, forcing them to confront the terrifying truth of their situation. “13 Demons (2016)” is available for streaming.
