The Olive Tree

In the Baix Maestrat region of Castellón, Spain, Alma’s family has a long-standing history of producing high-quality olive oil. Unfortunately, due to shifting industry dynamics, their traditional methods are no longer viable, forcing them into mass poultry production. Alma’s grandfather, consumed by sorrow, has been silent and refusing food for years. The family is frustrated, but Alma senses that he mourns the loss of their ancient thousand-year-old olive tree, sold to settle debts—a harsh reality many in Castellón face today. Determined to restore her grandfather’s happiness, Alma sets off on a daring journey to retrieve the tree and return it to their land, ensuring her grandfather finds peace before it’s too late.
