Little Secrets

Emily Lindstrom is a 14-year-old with dreams of becoming a concert violinist, spending her summer preparing for an important audition while her friends are away at camp. In her spare time, she runs a successful neighborhood business, charging 50 cents to keep people’s secrets safe. Meanwhile, her heavily pregnant mother and her father are preoccupied with the arrival of a new baby, leading Emily to feel somewhat neglected. Her life takes an intriguing turn when a new family moves in next door, and she befriends their 12-year-old son, Philip. Over time, the multitude of secrets Emily is entrusted with—including her own, those from her secret-keeping side business, and one revealed by Philip—threatens to overwhelm her, causing chaos in her life.
