In “Moomins and the Comet Chase,” Moomintroll awakens to discover a layer of grey dust blanketing the Moominvalley. Curious and concerned, he consults the philosophical Muskrat, who ominously hints at an impending disaster from the sky. With guidance from his father, Moominpappa, Moomintroll, along with his loyal friends Sniff and Snufkin, constructs a raft for a daring trip to the observatory nestled in the Lonely Mountains. Their mission is to gather more information from the wise professors there. The journey presents many challenges, but upon reaching the observatory, they find the professors deeply engrossed in calculations and are informed that a comet will collide with the Earth in precisely four days, four hours, four minutes, and 44 seconds.
