The Attorney

In the turmoil of early 1980s South Korea, student demonstrations erupt due to inadequate government representation. Song Woo-Seok, a prosperous attorney in Busan with a focus on tax law, gets his perspective on civil liberties upended by Park Jin-woo, a fervent student activist. After Jin-woo faces brutal torture and an unjust trial for his activism, Woo-Seok steps forward to represent him as his lawyer.
