Max and Hélène

Inspired by the true events chronicled in Simon Wiesenthal’s novel, this gripping narrative follows the tenacious pursuit of justice by Wiesenthal himself. Set in 1962, he seeks to prosecute a notorious Polish factory head who turns out to be a brutal labor camp commandant. To achieve this, Wiesenthal needs eyewitnesses who can testify, leading him to Max Rosenberg, a man still grappling with the haunting memories of losing his wife, Helen, during the Holocaust. At first, Max is reluctant to aid in the investigation, but over time, he reveals a painful history that traces back to the days before the war.
