Control

Unable to endure the chaotic environment created by his alcoholic father and unpleasant stepmother, Tsog decides to flee and finds refuge on the rooftop of an urban apartment structure. There, his attention is captivated by Anu, a stunning resident of the building opposite his, who resides on the top floor. Tsog purchases a remote control and becomes fascinated with watching her television, imagining the distance between them dissolving as he fantasizes about what it would be like to alter his world with the mere push of a button. The difference between ideals and reality is highlighted by Tsog and Anu’s shared dream of flying, juxtaposed with their fear of heights. Anu’s hope that she could conquer her fear with a companion mirrors Tsog’s solitude and detachment from his family. Watch *Control (2013)* now.
