WWE Summerslam

WWE’s SummerSlam 2015 was a professional wrestling spectacle broadcast as a pay-per-view event by the World Wrestling Entertainment. This major event occurred on August 23, 2015, at Brooklyn’s Barclays Center in New York City. Breaking from tradition, this marked the twenty-eighth SummerSlam and first time since 2008 that the event wasn’t held in Los Angeles, which hosted it exclusively at Staples Center from 2009 to 2014. Notably, it was the eighth instance that SummerSlam graced the New York metropolitan area following editions in 1988, 1989, 1991, 1997, 1998, 2002, and 2007. Originally slated for the Izod Center, the location shifted due to its April 2015 closure, bringing action to the Barclays Center instead. This year’s edition was unique, being the first SummerSlam with a four-hour runtime, a duration once reserved only for WrestleMania.
