The Sacred

Following her debut horror novel’s triumph, Jessie is celebrated as a rising star in the literary world, drawing comparisons to Stephen King. Despite her success, she’s plagued by writer’s block, leaving her editor eagerly anticipating her next work. Driven by the fear of being a one-hit wonder, Jessie heads to her late aunt’s secluded cabin in the woods in search of new inspiration. Having not visited for many years, she has little recollection of her childhood summers spent there or her time wandering the surrounding woods. On Jessie’s initial night alone, as darkness envelops the cabin, fragments of her past begin to surface. An ominous presence seems to loom there, painstakingly observing Jessie’s every movement, stirring up fears that have lingered within her. Unsettling and surreal events unfold, leading Jessie to question her perception of reality. The Sacred (2012) is a stream-worthy movie.
