Help Me, Eros

In the aftermath of a devastating economic downturn, Ah Jie finds himself penniless after losing his fortune in the stock market. Confined to his apartment, he passes the time by cultivating marijuana plants in his closet and indulging in smokes. Overwhelmed by his situation, he dials into a suicide helpline, where he is captivated by the tender voice of Chyi, sparking an infatuation with her idealized persona. Despite his efforts to meet Chyi in person, he faces constant rejection. This leads him to project his fantasies onto Shin, a new employee at the enticing betel nut stall downstairs, whose alluring attire is meant to attract male customers. Their relationship deepens, and they soon plunge into an indulgent realm of sensual and psychedelic experiences, even as Ah Jie can’t help but obsessively follow Chyi.
