On his twelfth birthday, Skeet receives a surfboard from his elder brother, Randy, which transforms his summer into an endless quest for the ultimate wave, filled with wild adventures and beach parties. As Randy’s focus shifts to a romantic interest, Skeet embarks on his own path of thrill-seeking escapades. To Skeet’s surprise, he also gains the mentorship of legendary surfer Jim Wesley, who provides hands-on guidance in advanced surfing techniques. Amidst this, Randy struggles with the passing of their father and grapples with jealousy over Jim’s impact on Skeet, becoming further unsettled when Jim grows closer to their single mother. Skeet finds himself caught in the middle of his brother’s rivalry with his newfound mentor and retreats to his room, yearning for the waves.
