Umsonst

Unexpectedly returning home, Aziza finds her plans disrupted and her room occupied. Her internship in Portugal has been canceled, and to her surprise, her mother Trixi has rented out her space. Zach, a young traveler from New Zealand, now resides there, having arrived in Germany with a single flight. The movie unfolds with a quasi-documentary vibe, capturing a vivid snapshot of life in Kreuzberg. The streets, the summer, and the eclectic mix of people come together harmoniously. It culminates in a significant twist, a dramatic finale questioning if it was all for nothing. Umsonst (2014) can be streamed freely at your convenience.
