The Better Angels

Set in the rugged environment of Indiana around 1817, a remote log cabin becomes the backdrop for the early life of one of America’s most iconic figures: Abraham Lincoln. Young Abe, contemplative and reserved, shares his days with his affectionate mother, learning the ways of frontier living from his strict father. When illness leads to the loss of his mother, Abe finds a guiding spirit in his stepmother who encourages him to pursue further learning and unlock his potential.
