Yu shi shang tong ju

In this comedy reminiscent of “The Devil Wears Prada,” the talented Chinese actor Alan Tam takes on a role akin to Meryl Streep’s iconic character. Zhou Xiaohui, a promising journalist, earned acclaim from his boss Alex upon joining Ming Shang Magazine three years back. As Zhou’s prowess shines brighter, Alex starts to perceive him as a threat and schematically moves to have him ousted. Reacting with frustration, Zhou departs from Ming Shang along with Assistant Editor Yinghong and Xiaopang, embarking on a new venture with their own fashion publication, Modern Magazine, cleverly funded by Zhou’s loyal friend, Wuyang.
