Highway to Hellas

In the film “Highway to Hellas” (2015), Jorg Geissner, a German banker, undergoes a profound transformation during a trip to Paladiki Island in Greece. Tasked with evaluating a local project titled “Galapagos in Greece,” which his bank financed, Jorg is determined to perform a thorough inspection. However, Panos, who runs a mini-mart, and the island’s mayor, conspire to prevent Jorg from discovering the less-than-perfect truth about their project. Despite his persistence, Jorg’s investigative efforts are continually thwarted by the clever interference of the island’s inhabitants. As a result, his journey stretches out like a modern-day Odyssey, leading him to re-evaluate his life’s priorities and obligations.
