Dérapages

From 2007 to 2011, a tragic number of 725 young Quebecers aged 16 to 24 lost their lives in car crashes, often driven by high speeds and alcohol consumption. Documentary filmmaker and host Paul Arcand seeks to delve into the mindset of these young drivers by engaging with them personally. On one hand, he offers these speed enthusiasts a chance to share their perspectives, and on the other, he provides a platform for two survivors who have endured both physical and mental trauma from accidents. The film also sheds light on the heartbreaking stories of little Bianca Leduc, killed by a drunk driver while with her babysitter, and Michael Borduas, a 23-year-old facing severe disabilities from an accident.
