Cupcakes

In a Tel Aviv suburb, a band of friends convene to enjoy Universong, a musical spectacle reminiscent of Eurovision. The group is disheartened by the dullness of Israel’s official entry, a gaudy and irritating tune themed around “love.” Noticing that their friend Anat is saddened by her marital struggles, they rally together to write an uplifting song for her. On a whim, they submit a cellphone video of their creation to the next year’s competition, unwittingly becoming the representatives for Israel. Watch Cupcakes (2013) free!
