Butterfly Kiss

Eunice is journeying along the roads of northern England, stopping from one petrol station to the next, on a quest to find Judith, the woman she claims to love. Unfortunately for the women behind the counter who aren’t Judith, Eunice possesses a dangerous eccentricity and an unpredictable temperament. During her travels, Eunice encounters Miriam—who is somewhat naive and hard of hearing—and takes a liking to Eunice, eventually inviting her to stay over. Miriam is captivated by Eunice’s assertive and strong nature and decides to accompany her in the hunt for Judith. However, as she witnesses Eunice’s harsh actions, Miriam attempts to redeem her, but gradually loses her own sense of stability along the way. Butterfly Kiss (1995) is intriguing.
