Tim tends to keep to himself at school. He befriends another shy student, forming a quiet bond. They are both targeted by a group of bullies, who use both verbal, physical, and aggressive online tactics to frighten Tim’s friend, causing him to cowardly distance himself from Tim—a choice that leads to some serious consequences. Since Tim opts not to inform authorities, the bullies, especially their leader Jeff, seem to escape punishment. Jeff, a standout athlete at school, is poised to secure a spot in the national championships with his 800m race time of 1.54 minutes. Choosing to take on the imposed challenge, Tim begins to train to compete against Jeff, cleverly using a girlfriend as a smokescreen, all while his foes are prepared to go to extreme measures to thwart him.
