The End of the Chain

At a remote fast food place adjacent to a vacant parking area, anonymity is key—a place to escape unnoticed. On a dreary autumn day, patrons arrive in succession, each teetering between a crisis and an epiphany. The film’s focal point, a waitress, silently witnesses and absorbs every personal turmoil. Each customer’s individual drama brings the Waitress closer to her own tipping point. The End of the Chain (2017) is a compelling watch.
