Captive

John Rancour, a seasoned but crooked detective, is on the run after brutally killing a fellow officer. With adversaries both on the side of the law and against it eager to see him dead, Rancour has no choice but to turn to Tyler Chase, the journalist who exposed his misdeeds and forced him into hiding. Desperate, Rancour takes Tyler hostage, dragging him along on a frantic one-night mission to unveil and dismantle the corrupt system he once perpetuated. Adding to the tension, Detective Frank Hanaway, Rancour’s former partner and confidant, is determined to stop them from surviving the night. As events rapidly unfold and the death toll rises, Tyler begins to suspect there’s more to Rancour’s actions and motivations than meets the eye—hinting at a larger conspiracy that could make for the story of a lifetime.
