The Block NZ

“The Block NZ” is a captivating local adaptation of a renowned global renovation reality show where four pairs tackle the challenge of revamping run-down homes in a prestigious neighborhood. Each week presents a new room, a new challenge to undertake, leading up to a thrilling live auction where the homes are sold for the best possible price. The teams, which can consist of couples, relatives, or friends, do not need to have any prior DIY knowledge, allowing them to fully immerse themselves in the project for the duration of the nine-week filming, residing within the houses they’re renovating. The ultimate winner is decided not through eliminations, but by the discerning eye of the real estate market itself. At the live TV auction, the couple whose house commands the top bid earns the coveted title of The Block NZ winner. Every couple profits from the auction of their home, with the victorious team taking away an impressive additional $80,000 cash prize.
