Howl

Set in San Francisco in 1957, a significant event unfolds as an American literary work is brought to trial. “Howl (2010)” explores this moment through a rich tapestry of three intertwined stories: the chaotic and defining experiences that encouraged Allen Ginsberg to discover his genuine artistic voice, society’s contentious response during the obscenity trial, and the innovative animated sequences that reflect the revolutionary nature of the poem. These elements seamlessly merge into an extraordinary film that encapsulates a transformative period, marking the emergence of a counterculture. Watch Howl online.
