Defenders of the Earth

*Defenders of the Earth*, an American animated series first aired in 1986, brings together characters from King Features Syndicate comic strips, including Flash Gordon, The Phantom, and Mandrake the Magician, who unite against the villain Ming the Merciless in 2015. Their journey is bolstered by the presence of their kids—Rick Gordon, Jedda Walker, Kshin, and L.J., along with Mandrake’s loyal assistant, Lothar. The adventure unfolds over 65 episodes, which also inspired a brief comic series by Star Comics, crafted by Gerry Conway, Ross Andru, and John Romita, Sr. Iconic musicians Rob Walsh and Tony Pastor provided the theme music, with the legendary Stan Lee penning the lyrics. Relive the nostalgia as it was also featured on Sci Fi Channel’s lineup during Sci Fi Cartoon Quest. Watch *Defenders of the Earth* online now!
