Louis Theroux: America’s Most Hated Family in Crisis

In a revisit to the controversial Westboro Baptist Church, Louis Theroux embarks on a sequel to his 2007 documentary, “The Most Hated Family in America,” spending a week in Topeka, Kansas. Here, he shadows the Phelps family as they engage in their provocative protests, using incendiary slogans and homophobic placards to provoke the communities they encounter. Remarkably, four years after his earlier visit, Louis observes signs of internal turmoil among the Phelps, highlighted by the departure of several members, resulting in a significant upheaval within the church.
