Kingpin

Overview
Kingpin, an American crime drama series, premiered on NBC in the U.S. and CTV in Canada on February 2, 2003, and ran for a total of six episodes. Positioned as NBC’s response to The Sopranos, and drawing inspiration from The Godfather, Macbeth, and Traffik, the series centered on the life of Miguel Cadena, a Mexican drug lord, and his family dynamics. Originally intended to develop into a full series, these plans were shelved due to modest ratings. The NBC mini-series advertisements notably featured the song “Más” by the Mexican band Kinky.
