Yeok-rin

In the year 1777, a year after ascending to the throne, King Jeong-jo navigates a treacherous life in the palace, surrounded by political foes. Loyal to him is Gap-soo, his devoted servant, who shares a shadowy past intertwined with the underground world of assassins, just like Eul-soo, who received the mission to end Jeong-jo’s life. Eventually, Gap-soo comes clean to the king about his history and reasons for serving him. Astonishingly, Jeong-jo asks him when he chose to abandon his assassin path and then instructs him to leave the palace altogether. However, when Gap-soo learns that another assassin still lurks, he rushes back and witnesses a fierce battle between Eul-soo and the king.
