The Glass Shield

J.J. is a newly appointed deputy in the Sheriff’s Department, breaking new ground as the station’s first black officer. Tensions are palpable, with some colleagues viewing him with resentment. His sole ally is another newcomer, the department’s first female officer, who contends with similar biases in this predominantly white, male setting. As J.J. uncovers corruption during the murder trial of Teddy Woods, whom he played a role in arresting, he is confronted with pivotal choices that threaten his safety in his quest for justice.
