Crossbones

Set in 1715 on the island of New Providence in the Bahamas, the story unfolds in the world’s earliest democracy where the notorious pirate Edward Teach, better known as Blackbeard, commands a chaotic nation filled with thieves, outlaws, and wayward sailors. This unique mix of shantytown and pirate sanctuary poses a significant threat to global trade. In a bid to seize control of this unruly society, Tom Lowe, an expert undercover assassin, is deployed to dismantle the ingenious and captivating Blackbeard. However, as Lowe delves deeper, he realizes that his mission is fraught with unexpected complexities. Though Blackbeard’s insatiable quest for knowledge, unfettered by law or convention, fascinates Lowe, it complicates his mission. Danger lurks not only from Lowe but also from numerous adversaries vying for Blackbeard’s downfall and a fervent woman who is his Achilles’ heel. Watch “Crossbones (2014)” streaming online now.
