Little Sister

In October 2008, Colleen, a young nun, has been deliberately keeping her distance from her family. However, her mother’s email, stating, “Your brother is home,” prompts her to return to her childhood residence in Asheville, NC. Upon arrival, she discovers her room untouched, still painted black and adorned with goth and metal posters. While her parents are pleased to see her, awkwardness lingers in the air. Her brother, who has returned from the Iraq war, now lives in seclusion in the guesthouse. As Colleen spends time at home, family tensions ebb and flow, aided by Halloween antics, pot cupcakes, and the eccentricity of GWAR. *Little Sister* serves as a poignant dramedy exploring family dynamics – a heartwarming tale imbued with sincere emotion, connecting with the inner goth.
