Fanarchy

Fanarchy delves into the growing influence of fan culture as fans challenge the traditional Hollywood system by becoming creators themselves. The accessibility of cost-effective technology empowers them to generate fresh content, surpassing the monthly output of traditional studios and networks. Fans are putting their unique touch on beloved films or TV series or crafting entirely original works, thereby erasing the line between amateur and professional creation. Directed by Donna Davies from Halifax, this documentary sheds light on the evolving media landscape and the complexities it faces, such as copyright, intellectual property, and originality in a remix culture.
