Charlie’s Country

Charlie, an elderly Indigenous Australian, struggles to adapt as governmental interventions complicate life in his remote community. With the enforcement of laws by non-Indigenous authorities, these rules appear irrational to Charlie, and he is disheartened by his peers’ willingness to comply without question. Seeking solace, Charlie decides to reconnect with traditional ways of living, unintentionally triggering a series of life-altering events that bring him back to his community with renewed wisdom and humility.
