Mr. Bean: The Animated Series

“Mr. Bean: The Animated Series” is a cartoon adaptation created by Varga Studio, taking after the classic British live-action show with the identical name. Featuring well-loved characters such as Mr. Bean, Irma Gobb, Teddy, and the mysterious Reliant Supervan driver, the series introduces new characters like Mrs. Wicket, Mr. Bean’s landlady, and her troublesome cat, Scrapper. The series relies largely on physical comedy and minimal dialogue, mostly consisting of sound effects or mumbled phrases, with occasional cheeky humor. Rowan Atkinson voices Mr. Bean, and his physical performance in the animated version was also inspired by his own actions. Other voice talents include Jon Glover, Rupert Degas, Gary Martin, Sally Grace, and Lorelei King. Although its official title is simply “Mr. Bean,” some broadcasters, like Disney Channel Asia and Germany’s Super RTL, use different subtitles to differentiate it from the original live-action series.
