That Peter Kay Thing

That Peter Kay Thing is a collection of six parody documentaries that aired on Channel 4 in January 1999. These episodes, set in and around Bolton, explore the lives of various characters, with Peter Kay taking the lead in each mockumentary. Kay infuses the series with his signature nostalgic humor and often unsympathetic main characters. The series benefits from the narration of Andrew Sachs, while its plot lines draw inspiration from real events in Kay’s life. At least six characters from this series make an appearance in the spin-off show, Peter Kay’s Phoenix Nights. Watch “That Peter Kay Thing” online.
