Withnail & I

Marwood, who is perpetually anxious and out of luck, and his sharply sarcastic, booze-loving friend Withnail are two unemployed actors aimlessly navigating their lives between a dilapidated apartment, the unemployment office, and the local bar. Desperate for a break, they accidentally end up spending a holiday at the rural abode of Withnail’s eccentric and flamboyantly gay uncle, Monty. Here, they face the grim reality of the English countryside, filled with boredom, intimidating locals, and relentless downpours. Watch Withnail & I (1987). The movie is available for streaming here.
