God’s Country

In “God’s Country,” Meghan Doherty is a driven young executive whose primary focus is moneymaking, often at the expense of her personal relationships. After a successful multi-million dollar deal, her boss, Mr. Randolph Whitaker, assigns her the task of securing a land deal in the Mojave Desert. The land in question, a foreclosed property, is owned by Eden Graham, a minister who uses it to run a youth camp with his family. Meghan’s goal is to persuade Eden to sell before a looming auction, promising her career advancement if she succeeds. However, Eden challenges her to experience the camp’s value firsthand and promises to agree to the sale only if her firsthand experience does not change her mind. A change of heart?
