Coconut Hero

Being a teenager is challenging, and sixteen-year-old Mike faces exceptional difficulties. Residing in the remote town of Faintville, a Canadian logging community, he endures constant nagging from his mother. He’s without a father, friends, or even a favorite dish, with his strongest desire being to simply disappear from existence. After penning his own obituary and attempting suicide, Mike is frustrated to awaken in a local hospital. During a check-up, doctors unexpectedly find a plum-sized tumor in his brain. Viewing this as a stroke of fortune, Mike keeps his condition secret, dodging the surgery that could restore his health. Confronting death, however, compels him to reassess his perspective, leading him to see both the beauty and eccentricity in Miranda, someone who finally seems to understand him.
