Dauntless

In June 1942, the Japanese Navy dominated the Pacific, prompting a pivotal moment in World War II. A United States carrier group was strategically positioned off Midway’s coast, aiming to ambush the enemy. During this critical battle, a two-man U.S. Navy dive bomber crew is compelled to crash-land in the ocean. Drifting aimlessly, they hold out hope for rescue from their fellow service members, specifically a scrappy PBY Catalina crew dispatched to locate survivors. As days go by in the endless Pacific expanse, and rescue seems increasingly unlikely, the men must confront their own mortality. Watch Dauntless (2019).
