Inside Game
Trailer
Overview
In 2007, NBA referee Tim Donaghy was ensnared in a scandal when it was revealed that he had been betting on games he officiated. He claimed that he was coerced by two men connected to the Gambino crime family — Baba Battista, a bookmaker, and Tommy Martino, a drug dealer — who allegedly threatened his family for gambling tips. Donaghy shared this narrative with the FBI and reiterated it on 60 Minutes as well as in court. However, the reality of the situation was far from what he portrayed. “Inside Game” unravels the lesser-known, complex truth behind one of the most significant controversies in sports history.
