Jules of Light and Dark

In the modern-day backdrop of Texas, Maya (Tallie Medel) and her on-again, off-again partner Jules (Betsy Holt) find themselves in a car accident following a night filled with mischievous adventures in the woods. They are rescued from the crash by Freddy (Robert Longstreet), an oil worker dealing with the aftermath of a divorce, who starts to see reflections of his own hidden desires in Maya. As Jules recovers, a bond forms between Maya and Freddy, offering a balm to the pervasive quietness of their small-town existence. Together, they gently inspire each other to pursue their deepest wants or, at the very least, discover what those might be. Jules of Light and Dark (2018) is available to stream.
