Selfie Dad

In the midst of a mid-life crisis and feeling estranged from his family, Ben Marcus, a reality-TV editor, believes that achieving his dream of becoming a professional comedian is his only path to happiness. He uploads his stand-up performances on YouTube, which unfortunately do not garner much attention. The tide turns when his son, in his early teens, uploads a video of Ben’s disastrous attempt at a home improvement task, and despite his teenage daughter’s embarrassment, the video goes viral, propelling Ben into the spotlight as the online sensation, Selfie Dad. Despite quickly rising to fame and winning awards, Ben finds that success alone doesn’t fulfill him. It is through his bond with a young coworker, Mickey, that he discovers the key to harmony at home, with the Bible in one hand and his phone in the other.
