Rose Island

In 1968, an imaginative engineer named Giorgio Rosa created “The Isle of Roses,” a micronation located just off the Rimini coast. This unique entity was constructed on a platform positioned beyond territorial waters, with Esperanto adopted as its official language. Despite its innovative beginnings, Italian authorities viewed the venture with suspicion, considering it a clever tactic to avoid taxes from profits made through the influx of tourists and onlookers. Rose Island (2020) awaits you online. Stream it for free on cineby or 123Movies and experience a fascinating slice of history.
