Sometime Other Than Now

After crashing his motorcycle near a small New England town, Sam finds himself stuck and takes shelter in a shabby motel overseen by Kate, who shares his sense of weariness and detachment from life. The underlying reason for Sam’s appearance in this seemingly random town becomes apparent when it’s revealed that his estranged daughter, Audrey, calls it home—whom he last saw 25 years ago. As Sam endeavors to reconcile with the grown woman his daughter has become, he realizes that forming deep emotional connections has always been a struggle for him—unless, unexpectedly, he opens his heart to another soul equally adrift.
