LUZ

In LUZ (2020), Ruben and Carlos find themselves sharing a cell in a minimum-security prison. Ruben is faced with the challenge of adapting to the daily routine and understanding his position in the intricate hierarchy of prison life. Meanwhile, Carlos takes on the role of mentor, eventually becoming more than just a friend as sparks of romance flicker between them. The bond they form is deep, yet unspoken, pushing them to grapple with emotions they can’t readily articulate. When freedom draws near for one, doubts arise about the authenticity of their affection, questioning if it was genuine or merely driven by the longing for human contact.
