It Felt Like Love

In the sweltering Brooklyn summer, fourteen-year-old Lila navigates a landscape of youthful tedium and yearning. At the beach, she awkwardly dons a thick layer of sunscreen, resembling a Kabuki mask, while she tags along with her more worldly friend Chiara and her boyfriend, Patrick. Eager to carve out her own romantic narrative, Lila sets her sights on Sammy, an older boy exuding a rough charm, and embarks on a journey of self-discovery.
