Resurgence

In order to earn the title of the Fittest on Earth, competitors must overcome an array of both physical and mental trials. The year 2020 brought an abundance of such challenges. “Resurgence” brilliantly encapsulates this story, showcasing how CrossFit adapted to host an in-person competition during a global pandemic. They devised a novel competition format to distill a vast pool of athletes down to just 5 men and 5 women. These elite contenders gather at a secluded ranch in California, ready to face whatever it takes to secure the prestigious title. Resurgence (2021) is available to stream for free.
