Asking For It

In the film “Asking For It” (2022), Joey, a waitress from a small town, experiences a sexual assault during a date with her former friend Mike. Following this traumatic event, she crosses paths with Regina, a mysterious woman who introduces her to The Cherry Bombers, an all-female gang consisting of Beatrice, Lily, Sal, Jett, Angie, and Fala. Bound together by their troubled pasts, they take a stand against a misogynistic society, targeting violent fraternity brothers, a corrupt police force involved in human trafficking led by Sheriff Morel, and the dangerous alt-right group, the Men’s First Movement (MFM), led by Mark Vanderhill. As Joey delves deeper into this turbulent world, Sheriff Vernon, an old acquaintance of Sal’s, begins investigating MFM, setting the stage for a riveting climax.
