Cimarron

When the government makes Oklahoma territory available for settlement, the adventurous Yancey Cravat seizes the opportunity to claim a piece of free land and relocates his family from Wichita to this new frontier. As a multi-talented newspaperman and lawyer, Cravat quickly rises to prominence in the burgeoning town of Osage. Nonetheless, when the town becomes established, his restless nature drives him to explore the Cherokee Strip, leaving his family behind. During his travels and prolonged absences, his wife Sabra adapts to her new circumstances and gradually emerges as a key figure in the community. Cimarron (1931) is an exciting watch.
